
An IndiGo Airlines flight from Delhi to Bagdogra was forced to make an emergency landing at Lucknow airport on Sunday morning, January 18, 2026, after a b*mb threat was reported, police said. Air Traffic Control received information about the threat on IndiGo flight 6E-6650 at around 8.46 a.m., following which the aircraft was diverted and landed safely in Lucknow at 9.17 a.m. as per security protocols. The flight was carrying 222 passengers, including eight infants, along with two pilots and five crew members. All passengers and crew were safely evacuated and the aircraft was parked in an isolation bay, while b*mb disposal squads and security agencies conducted a thorough search. During initial checks, a handwritten note on a tissue paper reading “Plane mein b*mb” was found.
